FlexFunction2Sustain project is halfway through

On 2nd and 3rd of May, the FlexFunction2Sustain consortium members met virtually to celebrate two years of project implementation. The goal of the teleconference was to review the progress of the project towards establishing an ecosystem for sustainable nano-functionalized flexible plastic and paper surfaces and membranes, get expert feedback from the External Advisory Board members and discuss all the operational and technical decision for the second half of the project.

The meeting started with the Project Coordinator John Fahlteich, Group Leader at the Division: Plasma Technology at Fraunhofer-FEP, who presented the project progress by highlighting the main achievements. The Project Adviser at Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) – European Commission, also joined the meeting to greet the partners and do a brief follow up on the work progress and upcoming activities.

Each work package leader gave a presentation detailing the work performed to date and next steps. The business development and management working sessions  took place on the second day. The partners agreed on the timeline for the OITB association set up and discussed the strategies to attract investors. A separate session was dedicated to the Open Call and which subsequent dissemination activities can be undertaken to reach out to more applicants in the upcoming cut-offs.

It is clear that all team members are excited about moving the project forward and getting ready for establishing the ecosystem.

The best is about to come! We’ll keep you posted!
